Feeds

If you manage stock in an external system (e.g., your POS or another inventory platform), you can use feeds in OtterOrder to keep inventory quantities up to date automatically.

00:00: If you manage inventory in another system, you don’t need to update stock here manually. Just go to Catalog, open Feeds,

00:08: and add your feed URL.

00:13: Choose how often OtterOrder should check for updates, and that’s it.

00:20: And here you can test your feed, then save it.

00:24: At each interval, OtterOrder pulls your stock levels and updates everything automatically.

00:30: It keeps your products accurate in real time without you touching anything.

Add an Inventory Feed

  1. Log in to your OtterOrder dashboard.
  2. Go to the Feeds section (Catalog – Feeds)
  3. Click Add Feed.
  4. Enter:
    • Feed URL – the URL where OtterOrder can fetch your inventory data.
    • Frequency – how often OtterOrder should check for updates (e.g., every hour).

How the Feed Works

  • At each interval (for example, once per hour), OtterOrder:
    • Calls your feed URL
    • Reads the current stock levels
    • Updates product availability automatically
  • You don’t need to manually adjust stock inside OtterOrder for items covered by the feed.

Tip: Use feeds when another system is already your “source of truth” for inventory and you just want OtterOrder to reflect that.
