Analytics

A complete overview of your store’s performance in OtterOrder.

The Analytics page provides a high-level and detailed view of your sales, customer activity, and product performance. It is designed to help merchants quickly understand how their business is performing today, this week, this month, and over time.

Analytics is divided into three main areas: Quick Glance, Today, and Overview. Each section highlights the metrics that matter most for daily operations and long-term trends.

Quick Glance

This top section shows your core sales numbers at a glance:

  • Daily Sales
  • Weekly Sales
  • Month-to-Date Sales
  • Year-to-Date Sales

Each card displays the total revenue for the period and its percentage change compared to the previous period. This helps merchants instantly see whether sales are trending upward or downward without needing to open detailed reports.

Today’s Activity

This section breaks down what’s happening right now in your store.

You can view:

  • Total sales for the selected period
  • Sales from the day before
  • A simple chart showing activity across the day
  • Average Order Value
  • Completed Orders

This is useful for monitoring real-time performance, slow hours, or sudden revenue spikes.

You can also export the report for the current date with one click.

Overview

The Overview block summarizes key operational metrics over any date range you select. At the top right of the Overview section, you can set any date range.
The dashboard refreshes automatically based on the selected period.

Payments

Displays counts and totals for:
Pending, Paid, Failed, and Refunded payments.
This allows you to identify payment-related issues quickly.

Top Customers

Shows your highest-spending customers during the selected period.
Ideal for loyalty outreach, VIP promotions, and customer-retention decisions.

Top Products

Highlights the best-selling items in the date range.
Useful for inventory planning, merchandising, and identifying demand trends.

Busy Days

A day-of-week heat bar showing the number of check-ins or orders per day.
This helps you plan staffing, marketing pushes, and store hours.
