Adding dietary tags and allergen info

Display important dietary information, allergen details, and spice levels directly on your menu items.

What are dietary and allergen tags?

Dietary labels

Display helpful dietary information on menu items, such as Vegetarian or Gluten-Free, so customers can quickly understand whether an item fits their preferences.

Allergen tags

Show clear allergen details on menu items, giving customers visibility into ingredients and helping them make informed ordering decisions.

Adding labels on menu items

Follow the quick steps below to update your menu items. 

  1. Go to OtterOrder ➜ Catalog ➜ Products
  2. Select an item and click View 
  3. Scroll down to the Dietary info section
  4. Assign Dietary labels as needed
  5. Assign Allergen labels as needed
  6. Click Save to confirm your changes

When using any of the tags (eg. Vegan Option) be sure to set up modifiers on the items so the customer can tell you they would like the item prepared according to their preference.
