Categories

The Categories screen is where you define and manage the high-level groups your products live in—for example guns, drinks, or food. Clear categories make it easier for staff to manage the catalog and for customers to browse.

You can access it from the left-hand menu under Catalog → Categories.

On this page you’ll see a simple list of existing categories with options to view products in that category or edit the category itself.


Creating a new category

To add a new category:

  1. Click Add Category in the top-right corner.
  2. In the dialog, enter a name (for example “Coffee”).
  3. If you want the category to have an image, choose an image before saving.

When you select an image, a file picker opens where you can either upload a new image or select one from the existing library. Once you choose the image and save, it’s attached to that category and will be used wherever category images are displayed in your storefront or back office.

After you click Add Category, the new category appears in the list alongside your existing ones, and a confirmation message is shown at the bottom of the screen.


Managing categories

From the Categories list you can:

  • Use View Products to jump straight into the products that belong to that category.
  • Use Edit to change the category name or update the category image later if your branding changes.

This keeps your catalog structure clean and makes it straightforward to maintain consistent categories as your product range grows.
